What sort of tale can we spin when a writer disappears? Did she REALLY disappear or just not show up for awhile?
You can see how the concept could run into all sorts of difference scenarios and plots. Writers don’t even BLINK without thinking about what this could do within a story line!
So, this past week, I’ve ‘disappeared’. I would love to have your thoughts about where I was or what I was doing when you weren’t hearing from me.
There are plots in the truth — NO, I didn’t disappear completely, simply for a bit as I battled a nasty attack of bronchitis that wanted to masquerade as pneumonia. I may to return to this week in my creative moments and draw on the experience for a character. Back to that BLINK, i like to make everything that goes on be useful in the storytelling.
The stories are still flowing, albeit I am taking time for recovery and getting my classroom tasks back on track. You can enjoy a new tale with the Sisters Divided series, SADIE. The sisters are coming to the culmination of their testing They are getting a chance to show their true character and learn what the future holds for them.
Sisters Divided has been a different type of story for me with a different presentation format where the pieces are released as we go along in volumes. In this way, readers don’t have to wait until the entire story is written, edited and ready for release. Sometimes it works very well for authors because we can watch a story develop from another point of view whicn can affect future volumes. Your reviews on each volume as the story comes along can actually be influential on the outcome. Not exactly like those ‘choose-your-own-ending’ stories the kiddos enjoy, but influential never the less.
You may have seen that the latest novel Firelight Angels was released in three parts as well. That was for a bit different purpose. The novel was done all at once, but released in pieces because readers sometimes want something that can be quickly finished on their e-reading tools. Firelight Angels is scheduled to be released in print, combining all three parts in one publication.
The links in this post are to my Amazon page where purchase points can be found for each book or the purchase page on this site where the same purchase places are noted along with others. Your reviews on Amazon and other purchase places are so helpful to me as an author. Your recommendations influence new readers’ choices. And as mentioned above, your responses can influence the outcome of a series as it is released!
Thank you for your loyalty and always know that I would NEVER disappear from you all…I value you ‘way too much for that.
