I’m looking forward to 2016. This past year has been full of challenges as I began a new ‘day gig’ — teaching at a nearby college, while continuing a writing schedule that has felt like a full time job in certain moments!
As we move into 2016, Southern Writers Magazine has honored me again with a spot in TailSpin featuring Countenance. The beautiful magazine from Southern Writers is available for online and paper subscription. Many southern friend authors have been introduced to readers through Southern Writers Magazine.
FIRELIGHT ANGELS – I’ve been told we’re looking at a release in a paperback collection of the series. Maybe as early as late January! Firelight Angels is a little different from other books — contemporary, but reflective of the past. Isn’t that the way life is? A patchwork of the things that have been part of our history?
Some of the greatest 2015 fun came during this wonderful holiday season when I released a gift to readers in a short story, The Christmas Cross. It almost felt as if I were channeling O. Henry to make the tale come around complete in a concise format.
Fifty – Fifty Over 50 people have downloaded the story to date. I’m going to keep it available for the holiday season — cherishing keepsakes and friends doesn’t stop with one date on the calendar.
Fifty is a good number for me as the reviews add up for Countenance, my very first novel. I’m gratified to have the opinions of 50 readers for the book (and a good balance from raving fans to calmer views). When a book reaches the 50 reviews mark, Amazon gives the book more acknowledgement which in turn reaches more potential readers.
In the New Year, I’m hearing the Siren Call of the keyboard with stories ready to be told! I’m so happy to have you along for the ride!
