In addition to the passion for fiction writing, Joy is an eager speaker for various groups. In the summer of 2013, she spoke at an Episcopal Women’s convention and for an eager writer’s group in her communities as well as at a November book signing in a nearby town. She already has speaking engagements booked for 2014.
Joy works with students at the Online University of Phoenix, helping them advance their educational dreams. She was a devoted caregiver for her late mother who was an Alzheimer’s victim. That experience was the catalyst for setting Joy’s pen to writing. She wrote a newspaper column about her experiences and activities with her mother entitled “Mother Can You Hear Me?”. The inspiration for Countenance and other stories to follow began during a time of seeking peace and solace.
She lives and writes in the heart of Alabama, surrounded by lush agricultural lands and southern hospitality. She is available for speaking engagements and interviews. Please leave a message at The Heart’s Story about your needs. Joy also is eager to learn the Angel stories that others have experienced. Joining the Angel Pack is an excellent way to begin sharing your stories or you may leave a message at her Facebook page:
