“A Brush with Death”, Volume 2 of Sisters Divided was released last week. Set in a beautiful bed and breakfast near Memphis, Tennessee, the sisters continue on their quest to acquire their wings. At least that is supposed to be their goal. Maeve’s selfishness dominates again and Colin has some dramatic lessons for her. Will the lessons be learned effectively?
The fortunate contrast between good and not so good helps ‘sweet’ sister, Keeva, keep Maeve’s behavior from causing great damage, but there is that ‘brush with death’ reality. I think she stretched selfish nature a lot more in this story than last time, but that is sort of the way life goes — as we will be self-centered and determined to have our own way, often we push the envelope to the very limits before we try to turn. Then, just hoping that we aren’t speeding toward destruction so fast that we cannot turn.
That’s where Maeve finds herself with her support group of one sweet sister, a sincere trainer and a comical, effective pair of ‘keepers’. The future volumes will reveal just how these sisters will work toward their goal. Will they reach the goal in tandem? Where will they visit next? Stay tuned for the next volume of Sisters Divided, published by Helping Hands Press.
